Non-contacting rotary position sensors are extremely low wearing with two-part sensors offering virtually infinite life. They have measurement ranges from 30° up to a full 360° rotation with absolute multi-turn also available on some models.
The majority of our non-contacting sensors use the Hall effect principle, which utilises magnetic fields to measure the rotary position of a moving object. They are well suited to a wide range of applications.
The main advantages are the that they can be programmed to suit specific applications, that they offer high speed operation and operate in a relatively wide temperature range making them suitable for different environments. The sensors are highly reliable and have low maintenance and long life.
